Join teachers from across the globe to observe world-leading practices in education. You’ll observe Finnish classrooms in action while networking with experienced educators.

When you’re not learning from your peers, you’ll be exploring this beautiful and historic city with other teachers. You can meander through a sea fortress from the 1700s, join in on a “coffee crawl,” and enjoy a refreshing sauna. Or, if you choose, you can spend a cozy day in experiencing “kalsarikannit.”

The Basic Shared Package gives you more comfort and privacy than our budget offerings, as you would only share a bathroom with your roommate. Our budget offering includes dormitory-style restrooms and showers.

In summary, you’ll enjoy safe, clean and comfortable accommodations (shared with another Traveling Teacher*) and a nutritious daily breakfast.

*Note that you can request to room with a particular Traveling Teacher. Just ensure that each of you request the other person as a roommate when you book. We hold to this policy to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

We know that relaxing and recharging are just as important as learning, so you’ll have plenty of time to explore and/or rest.

This is not your average PD. You get to choose your own personal and professional development.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the budget and basic offerings?

The budget offering includes accommodations and breakfast at Eurohostel. The basic offering includes breakfast and accommodations at Both Hostel.

It’s all a matter of personal preference. Both Hostel tends to be best for teachers who prefer privacy, whereas Eurohostel provides more opportunities for teachers to meet new people.

Is ground transportation included?

For most of the trip, no. Ground transportation will be offered on the first day of school visits from Senate Square. Directions to and from various areas of interest will be e-mailed to you after your registration is confirmed.

Is airfare included?

Airfare is not included in Traveling Teachers LLC tours. However, we’d be more than happy to help you score deals on airfare. Just let us know, and we’ll be on the lookout for you! 🙂

Can I bring my partner/spouse/friend/family?

You are more than welcome to make this a couples getaway, spring break or family vacation! You will just want to consider the lodging options.

If you’d like to book both beds of a shared room, let us know and we’ll work out the price for you.

If you know you’ll want to rent an apartment, or if there’s a certain hotel you have your eye on, I recommend booking the School Visits Only option. This allows you flexibility as far as meals, lodging and activities.

Am I able to make payments for my trip?

Yes! 25% of the total is due at the time of registration (we’ve done the math for you already 😉).

Please note that the total due must be paid by Friday, February 7th, 2020.

Can I share a room with another teacher who's coming?

Absolutely! If you’d like to request a particular roommate, please note that when you book. Please also have your friend request you. If both parties do not request each other, we will not honor the request

Are payments refundable?

Unfortunately, no. As soon as we receive your payments, we book everything needed for your trip – which includes any covered accommodations, meals, activities and/or school visits. Because these need to be booked with our partners and providers in advance, we unfortunately cannot refund payments.

You can send your inquiry via the form below.
